Tomb of Jahangir Lahore

The tomb was built by his son Shah Jahan in 1627, and is an excellent example of Mughal architecture. The tomb is octagonal in shape, and has four levels. The first level has a series of arches which lead to the second level. This level has a balcony which overlooks the garden below. The third level has a series of windows which overlook the river Ravi. The fourth and final level is the tomb itself, which is surrounded by a marble screen.
